Add Sources Overview
Overview#
Add Sources centralizes every way to feed new knowledge into the platform. From a single entry point you can pick the input type—documents, text snippets, Q&A pairs, website URLs, and more—before launching the relevant upload or form experience.
When to Use It#
- You are populating the knowledge base for a brand-new organization
- You want to mix multiple source types in one session (for example, upload PDFs then paste raw text)
- You need a quick refresher on what content formats SotaAgents supports

How to Use#
- Navigate to the Knowledge Base tab for your organization.
- Click the
+ Newbutton in the top-right corner and chooseAdd Source. - Review the cards to decide which ingestion method fits your content.
- Select a card (for example,
Document) to open the specific modal for that source type. - Complete the source-specific workflow and confirm to add the content to the knowledge base.
Notes & Tips#
- You can add multiple source types back-to-back without leaving the Knowledge Base screen.
- Hovering each card reveals a short description to help you choose the right option.
- If you need to stop mid-process, close the source modal; no data is saved until you confirm.
FAQ#
Which source types are currently available?#
Documents, Text Input, Q&A Pairs, and Website URL are available today. Additional connectors will appear in this menu as they launch.
Can I upload multiple sources at once?#
Yes. Each workflow supports bulk actions where applicable (for example, multiple documents). Repeat the process for different types.
Does selecting a card start training immediately?#
No. Training is separate. Add your sources first, then trigger training from the knowledge hub when ready.
